What Internet Service Provider's (ISP) work with Broadband Phone? |
A. |
Broadband Phone service will work with most High-Speed Broadband Internet Service Providers, including Cable and DSL. You will need to know what type of connection you have with your service provider in order to set up your Broadband Phone telephone service; ie… PPPoE, Static IP, DHCP.. |
Q. |
I have a PPPOE Connection for my DSL. Will my connection work with Broadband Phone service? |
A. |
Yes, if your Broadband Phone Adapter is placed behind a broadband sharing router and the authentication information such as your user name and password are input into your router. Most consumer brand routers will support this type of connection.
|
Q. |
I use a Cable Modem connection. Will my connection work with Broadband Phone service? |
A. |
To verify if your broadband Cable will work with Broadband Phone. Simply check to see if you can access the Internet using an Internet browser. If you can reach the Internet without having to connect to your service provider then you can use Broadband Phone.
If you cannot access the Internet without first connecting to your service provider, Broadband Phone will not operate. This is because your service provider authenticates the connection using software installed on your PC, which is not compatible with Broadband Phone.
